Our Beliefs

  • The Trinity

We believe in the Triune God: God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are one.

Father – We believe God created everything. And when humanity turned away from God, the Father sent the Son into the world to save us and draw us back to himself.

Son - We believe in the uniqueness of Jesus Christ, who is God incarnate and fully human. Through his miraculous birth of the Virgin Mary, sinless life, atoning death, bodily resurrection, glorious ascension and triumphant reign, he is the only Mediator between God and man. Ultimately, Jesus will return to bring justice and renew all things (Acts 4:12).

Holy Spirit - We believe that we are healed, transformed and empowered by the gracious, continuing activity of the Holy Spirit who perfects our repentance, nurtures the new life planted within us, transforms us into Christ’s image, and enables us to do good works in the world.

  • The Bible

We believe the Old and New Testaments are the inspired Word of God, containing all things necessary for salvation, and to be the final authority and unchangeable standard for Christian faith and life.

  • The Gospel

We believe that we are made right with God (justified) by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone (Romans 5:1). Therefore, every person is in need of personal conversion, leading to new life in Christ. The Gospel is not a message about making bad people good, but rather a message of God making dead people alive. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come” (2 Corinthians 5:17). Jesus himself taught that, “unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God” (John 3:3).

  • The Sacraments

We believe Baptism and the Lord’s Supper are Sacraments, ordained by Christ Himself in the Gospel.

  • The Creeds

We believe the use of the three catholic (or universal) Creeds: the Apostles’, the Nicene, and the Athanasian, are scriptural and provide a unified vision for the Church.

  • The 39 Articles

We receive the Thirty-Nine Articles of Religion of 1571, as expressing the Anglican response to certain doctrinal issues controverted at that time, and as expressing fundamental principles of authentic Anglican belief.

  • The Jerusalem Declaration
